In what turned out to be the highest level of idiocy, Ugandan State house bankrolled anti-Rwanda rabble-rousers, Giles Muhame of Chimpreports and self-styled activist, Rosebell Kagumire hit the social media waves demanding for the “due process’ of their fellow Ugandan drug trafficker Babara Natty Dread Tonyz.
For starters, Babara was arrested at Kigali International Airport possessing narcotic drugs precisely 20 sticks of cannabis on Friday 14th Feb. He was in transit from Entebbe to Nairobi aboard WB.
Upon his arrest, he confessed to using drugs. Investigators immediately filed the case to the processions that was extended to the court as per the trial procedures. The court later remanded him for 30 days as he prepares his defense while prosecution is also preparing their submissions. He is currently detained at Mageragere prison.
Isn’t it ironical how the duo dumbs ignored this process to advance such treacherous propaganda – and yet their misinformed outcry comes a few days after CommandPost made its usual claims against Rwanda that the drug dealer in question was abducted?
Also, Bob Atwine’s hateful media – CommandPost – sponsored by the Uganda’s Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI), and linked to the state house just as nut-heads Mahame and Kagumire, was so desperate in its search for a moral equivalence that it confuses lawful arrest and abduction.
Arrests in Rwanda are done in accordance with the law! In fact, let’s recall that Babara admitted to having been taking drugs and claimed it eases his asthma condition. This was in total violation of Rwandan laws which ban use, traffic and sell of narcotic drugs.
Rwanda informed the Ugandan High Commission about their citizen’s detention unlike hundreds of innocent Rwandans who are arbitrary arrested, tortured & killed without notifying the Rwandan High Commission in Kampala.
Uganda’s Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI) propaganda tabloid, SpyReports is actively propagating the delusional claim that Uganda does not have Coronavirus cases, in spite of the same having been conformed in other East African Community countries. SpyReports and other CMI tabloids continue to boast about Uganda being free from Coronavirus, and cynically scoffing at neighbours who have officially confirmed cases.
The truth is that the reason there is no officially confirmed Coronavirus case in Uganda yet is because the Uganda government had no testing infrastructure capacity. The easy way out therefore, to save face, was to hide their head in the sand and pretend that there were no Coronavirus infection cases in Uganda.
However, this does not imply that there are no infected Ugandans. Now equipped with testing kits donated by China, Coronavirus cases are expected to surface allover Uganda, and the narrative that the infections came from Rwanda will come in handy. As Museveni anticipates that the veil on their Coronavirus cover up will inevitably lift soon, the CMI tabloids have started to advance the narrative that Rwanda, their usual fall guy, is ‘sending Coronavirus patients’ to infect Ugandans, ostensibly ‘to share spoils.’
Without an iota of evidence to back their wild claims, the CMI tabloid is sharing a picture and identification profile of a lady they claim to be ‘a Rwandan’ who they say ‘escaped’ from an isolation centre in Rwanda and is being hunted by Ugandan authorities. This leaves one confused, wondering if the said patient ‘escaped’ and used ungazetted routes to enter Uganda, why then would they claim that she sent by Rwanda? Besides the subject in question is nowhere found in Rwanda’s 11 COVID-19 cases’ records; this is another fiction meant to divert public’s attention.
In a juvenile way, the CMI tabloids are even using a tone that suggests that there is no Coronavirus in Uganda because Ugandans possess mysterious powers, and insinuating that it is the fault of countries with confirmed cases because they are weak. By implication, Uganda and Burundi have no confirmed Coronavirus cases because ‘they are better countries!’
An astonishing event deserves special attention with the recent COVID19 pandemic. It is a case of academic fraud and dishonesty, whereby a University publishes a sensational title for political propaganda use. Makekere University published a strange paper claiming it has found the novel coronaviruses in Rwandan bats. Scientist worldwide will be laughing at the Uganda University in shock that during a pandemic, they opted to play propaganda tunes.
Claiming that one has found coronavirus in bats is not breaking news that will reward the university with any recognition. Bats are natural reservoirs of a number of coronaviruses; one would not win an award for making such a discovery. The study, conducted between 2010 and 2014, and published in 2019 was talking about SARS (SARS-CoV) and other coronaviruses that are usually found in bats. It was not talking about COVID19 (SARS-CoV-2) that is currently the focus of global efforts. Skillfully and deliberately, the University plays on words and misinforms with a sensational tweet.
Truth be told, the University is stating common knowledge for propaganda purposes. Coronaviruses can be found in bats in Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, in Asia, and elsewhere. The University deliberately links its discovery with COVID19 to seed confusion and panic. As Rwandans do not eat or interact with bats, the spicy barrier is intact as in most places in the world. Diseases and viruses in bats stay in bats and do not cross to contaminate humans.
With their deliberate misinformation, it is obvious that the once-respected university is weaponizing the COVID19 pandemic against Rwanda. When they tweeted, “Earlier research by Makerere University detected Coronaviruses in Bats in Close Contact with Humans in Rwanda”, they want to insinuate that bats are giving Rwandans COVID-19. The insinuation is a pure lie, a rumormongering ploy to create panic. The source of COVID-19 has been established, its spread observed from Asia, to Europe to America and finally to Africa.
By lending the name “Makerere” to this pseudo research, republished for propaganda purposes, the University endorses the anti-Rwanda hate speech enclosed. Their timing in announcing that Rwandan bats have the Coronavirus as the world fight the COVID-19 pandemic indicates a calculated move to tarnish Rwanda. The hostile move is mainly due to the rampant corruption that now defines Makerere University. Some individuals in Makerere – where corruption, bribery and all kinds of malpractice have long become the norm in the Museveni era – are now obviously participants in the anti-Rwanda propaganda games. The motive is clear, why else would anyone release such a misleading “research” now?
Not so long ago, we saw a COVID-19 miracle cure announced by the Ugandan President and the Speaker of the Ugandan Parliament. They promised that in two weeks they will have the cure ready to kill COVID19 and any other viruses, something that no one has managed to claim so far. If Makerere University is seeking to be recognized as a Coronavirus center of knowledge, they should research and publish the miracle cure on COVID-19. Republishing old papers and deliberately confusing readers turns the whole university into a center of misinformation; academically, they cannot possibly fall lower.
It has long been obvious that Kampala’s propaganda media will leave no stone unturned to tarnish the Rwandan leadership. Such was the case a few days ago when NBS – one of Uganda’s supposedly mainstream media houses that have now been fully incorporated into the regime’s misinformation services – hosted the completely unhinged, long-out-of-service UPDF major general known as Kasirye Ggwanga.
One of the things the long-retired general did at the interview with NBS’s Simon Kaggwa Njala was to hurl gratuitous insults at Rwanda.
Kasirye Ggwanga is a man known to have Idi Amin-like tendencies, having served in Amin’s army from 1972 up to when the Tanzanians routed them in 1979 when he was a staff sergeant. In 1985, Ggwanga left the Mawokota and Mubende (Buganda) based UFA rebels to join Museveni’s ascendant NRA.
Hosted by NBS’s Kaggwa Njala, Ggwanga yelled: “Kagame went and killed Patrick Karegeya!”
Ggwanga – whose utterances on that very show also included demented assertions that he had “died and went to heaven and spent there five days but God sent me back to earth” – did not explain how he reached his conclusions.
More importantly, NBS has left itself a laughing-stock even with its most loyal viewers, for hosting and giving free rein to an aged man that everyone knows is always out of his mind from his extensive abuse of illegal substances, and whose main method for sorting disagreements is grabbing his gun and firing it, at anything that his deranged mind does not like. In the comments section, a viewer called Myers Mushabe rightly commented: “Kaggwa Njala is the wacky one! How do you even think of bringing this junky in front of cameras?”
According to inside sources in NBS, Ggwanga’s utterances about Karegeya are part of a plot to keep dredging the discredited accusations against Kigali in the man’s death in Johannesburg on New Year’s Day 2014. In Rwanda, however, people viewed Karegeya as a public enemy. That was after Kayumba Nyamwasa and Karegeya, the RNC founders – with Museveni as their inspiration and main backer – openly declared war on the lawful government in Kigali, and went ahead to put their words into action.
In interviews on their propaganda organs, such as Radio Itahuka, beginning in the 2010s, the RNC chiefs quite openly admitted, “to dislodge the regime in Kigali is our goal number one, and we shall do it!”
In subsequent 2010-14 grenade attacks in crowded public spaces such as markets and bus stops in Rwanda, which investigations showed were RNC’s doing, 17 people died and over 400 were injured or maimed. Those investigations further showed how the masterminds; the planners of the attacks were operating from neighboring Uganda – a state whose leadership for several years now has partnered with RNC and other terror groups like FDLR and RUD-Urunana in plots to destabilize Rwanda.
Ggwanga, whose utterances upon examination always turn out to serve the interests of Museveni and his brother Salim Saleh, likely didn’t notice, but the moment news of Karegeya’s demise reached Kigali, people hit the bars and other places of leisure in celebration. One of the killers had met his end, and people celebrated in ways some compared to how Americans did the news of Osama Bin Laden’s killing.
Observers point out that Ggwanga’s masters – who are determined to weaponize Karegeya’s demise in a South African city well known for its high murder rates – miss the point that to the average Rwandan, whatever way Karegeya died was of little concern to them. All that mattered to them was that a terror perpetrator was dead and out of the way.
On the other hand, even Ugandans wonder: Why are these Museveni minions always peeping into Rwandan matters when they have far bigger issues in their own country that remain unaddressed?
The Museveni regime is openly guilty of extra-legal murders of so many Ugandans. Beginning way back in 1987 when the late Minister in Museveni’s government and former commander of a rival rebel group, Uganda Freedom Movement (UFM), Andrew Lutakoome Kayiira was gunned down in his house, by people who left without taking anything, the hand of Museveni is always seen in those crimes.
The extensive report of the British Police investigation into that murder submitted to Museveni has to this day not seen the light of day. The Ugandan ruler received it, and somply sat on it. “If Museveni is not guilty why has he never released the report?” people like exiled opposition leader Dr. Aggrey Kiyingi ask.
The regime also is yet to come clear on the deaths of Gen Aronda Nyakairima, who died on a flight from South Korea to Dubai in September 2015. The former minister – and former army chief – was known in the circles of power for strongly opposing the machinations known as the “Muhoozi Project” to ensure Museveni’s son inherits the presidency. It has been reported by sources from inner circles of power that Aronda died of poisoning at the hands of a female regime agent planted on him.
Before him Brigadier Nobel Mayombo, a highly popular officer, respected and seen by many as a future leader had died, also from poisoning. Ironically, Mayombo and Aronda were relatives through the latter’s mother. It was of little wonder to anyone when video surfaced of David Sejjusa, a former regime insider, disclosing that not a single Museveni official – ministers, generals, or MPs trusts him.
“It has reached the extent none will eat food served at any public function, so that they move about with little bottles of water and rolled chapattis in their coats,” said Sejjusa.
So many have died leaving behind loved ones, widows, and orphans. AIGP Andrew Kaweesi, Sheikhs and Muslim clerics have been killed. Ibrahim Abiriga was assassinated with his brother cum-driver/bodyguard. CIP Muhammad Kirumira died. Yassin Kawuuma died – shot dead by Museveni’s praetorian guard, the SFC, on orders of the President’s son Muhoozi, in the vehicle of Kawuuma’s employer, Kyadondo MP Robert Kyagulanyi better known as Bobi Wine. The killing was obviously a mistaken identity, the real target having been Bobi Wine.
Despite all these cases of regime-murders that they should be explaining to the Ugandan public, Museveni minions are intent on using the death of self-admitted terrorist Karegeya in South Africa to try to demonize Rwanda, some note in wonder.
The very fact that NBS would choose to host Ggwanga as some kind of expert analyst or authority who can even comment on Rwandan matters is reflective of a desperation in Kampala that has for some time been apparent for anyone to see. The Kampala regime is desperate to keep the narrative alive that “Rwanda somehow is the bad party in the deteriorated relations between the two countries”.
Now their desperation has reached a level where they feel the need to call on an obviously unhinged individual like Kasirye Ggwanga as their messenger!
This old man, who with his unkempt white hair and dark sunglasses – a perfect image of the dreaded Amin State Research agent or Papa Doc and Baby Doc Duvalier’s Tontons Macoutes – looks and talks like someone with a very short fuse, is best known for the frequency with which he shoots at people’s vehicles and other machines without provocation and with total impunity.
On one of his drug binges last August, Ggwanga shot out the tyres of a truck carrying eucalyptus tree logs, claiming he was protecting the environment.
People were asking: “who gave Kasirye Ggwanga the brief to protect the environment?” On the other hand, the owner of the truck, one Gerald Wambi in Mityana said the trees were on his private property, not on public land.
However, according to Wambi, even when he recorded a complaint with the police he got no help. Up to today.
The unhinged retired general that very year, in January, had shot musician Catherine Kusasira’s car. He was complaining that the music coming from the vehicle was too loud. No law and order authorities has investigated that incident to this day. Kasirye Ggwanga also had shot and burnt someone’s tractor.
These are the activities of a lawless individual that, when subjected to scrutiny, are emblematic of the very regime he serves. It beggars belief that Kin Kariisa’s formerly respected NBS has sunk to a level where one of its chief anchors, Kaggwa Njala, now considers a mad man and drug addict like Kasirye Ggwanga to be a serious political analyst and commentator on Rwanda or any other subject. This is the most convincing proof that Museveni and Saleh have now fully coopted the NBS as paid shills for the regime’s propaganda effort. It also confirms that any dissenting and independently-minded journalists and media managers have been sacked as earlier demanded by the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC), on orders from Museveni’s State House.
As the world mobilizes to combat COVID-19, the RNC propagandist David Himbara is busy countering the mobilization for political gains. The weed-smoking Rwanda National Congress propagandist is attacking the World Health Organization (WHO) hand-washing campaign #SafeHands simply because the President of Rwanda promoted it with his participation.
COVID-19 has so far affected over 170,000 people and killed over 6,500, it is a virus belonging to the Coronavirus type and all experts agree that regular cleaning of hands is crucial in controlling the pandemic. Fugitive Himbara will not hear anything that Rwanda supports even a global message that everyone should keep his or her hands clean.
His so deep-rooted hate will probably lead him to do the opposite of what the President of Rwanda is advising to do. The RNC weed addict will probably not touch water again in protest that Rwandan authorities promoted the message. He will not wash his hands; he will not shower and will try to drink as little water as possible.
The pandemic is nothing to Murunganwa who works for terror enterprise. In his ideal world, the viral outbreak would kill as many as possible; COVID-19 would do what Anti-Rwandan forces have failed to do, destabilize Rwanda. In reality, it is only normal for a terrorist propagandist to try and sabotage life saving measures; his objective is to take lives, not save lives.

Himbara is that unethical, his only concern is how to exploit the COVID19 pandemic to enhance his Ugandan regime sponsored propaganda. On Friday, March 13, Andrew Mwenda, an advisor to President Museveni, tweeted “Karma is really a bitch. As minister of security, Henry Tumukunde claimed that Kale Kayihura was working with Rwandan President Paul Kagame to overthrow Kaguta Museveni. Today, Tumukunde is going to be charged with treason for calling upon Rwanda to help him to remove M7 [sic] from power.” The day before, Mwenda had broken the news as the operation to arrest the retired army general was underway, proving that Mwenda was kept in the know by the offices he works for and for which he is tasked with shaping the narrative of the arrest.
I will return to the issue of Karma – which Mwenda seems to be very familiar with – regarding his own role in the deterioration of relations between the two countries. But first, let me deal with the false narrative that he was sent out to promote. While it is true that Tumukunde was arrested days after statements suggesting Rwanda ought to aid the opposition in Uganda to remove President Museveni from power, his arrest has nothing to do with these statements. On March 4, 2020, Gen Tumukunde said, “If I was Rwanda I would wish to support people who want to cause change in Uganda.” Shortly before, Tumukunde had informed Uganda’s electoral commission of his intention to run for the presidency in the 2021 elections.
Uganda Police also said that the arrest stemmed from his comments requesting Rwanda “to support him in removing the current leadership with or without the ballot”; that the arrest was related to “the impact of the inflammatory and provocative rhetoric by the suspect” towards the public and security forces, according to a story carried in The New York Times.
Tumukunde invoked Rwanda only precisely because he knew it would create an “inflammatory” buzz on the Ugandan political scene, bring media attention and, he must have hoped, prevent an arrest that, as a former spy chief, he knew was impending. Even those who arrested him know that based on Tumukunde’s history with Rwanda, not only did he not mean what he said – beyond using Rwanda to attract media attention for his troubles that have nothing to do wit it- but that there was no basis under which, even if it had any interest, Rwanda would consider him a person with whom to engage at all in such a high-stakes game.
However, both Tumukunde and the person who ordered his arrest know that Rwanda is a country that can not be used as an effective foil for any domestic trouble facing Uganda, which is the source of the current crisis.
Tumukunde must have learned from his boss that Rwanda could be a good scapegoat for Uganda’s domestic troubles. He was a key actor, both as Minister of Security and after, when he headed the “Rwanda Project” in a plot to destabilize Rwanda as a means of diverting attention from purely domestic matters. In other words, if instigating persons to destabilize another country with the aim of removing its leadership is the crime, then Tumukunde is merely an accessory to the crime in which Museveni is in the dock for his role in instigating such groups as the FDLR, RUD Urunana, RNC, MRCD-FLN. Tumukunde committed this crime on Museveni’s behalf.
Mwenda is therefore pushing this Rwanda angle, knowing fully – and certainly better than most observers – that it is not the real reason for Tumukunde’s arrest. Similarly, Tumukunde knows he was merely pleading for attention when he invoked Rwanda. If Tumukunde didn’t need the media attention as his last refuge, he would reveal the real reason of his arrest. If Museveni didn’t need Rwanda as his scapegoat for all his domestic troubles, he too would tell Ugandans the real crime that he is charging Tumukunde with. But because no one is willing to tell the truth, they know Mwenda is a good lair. So they deployed him.
But if Karma is as real as Mwenda says, then Mwenda should explain why it hasn’t visited him yet given the fact that as Tumukunde was busy lying to Museveni about Kale Kayihura allegedly working for Rwanda, this Karma analyst Andrew Mwenda was also busy spying on Kale Kayihura and similarly lying to Museveni that Kayihura was a Rwandan agent. Mwenda and Tumukunde have carried out the exact same disinformation campaign against Kayihura to their patron Museveni. So, if Karma is rightly visiting Tumukunde, Mwenda should be explaining to us whether Karma is selective in its application of justice. Unless he wants us to believe that Karma too can fall for his silvery tongue of shameless lies.

He also seems to forget that even if the event was to be postponed, CHOGM2019’s decision to convene in Kigali still stands!
Himbara who is constantly scheming and plotting with anti-Rwandan forces, ought to worry about more relevant matters with regards to COVID19. How will his lungs fair against the novel coronavirus given his old age and his despicable lifestyle? CHOGM2020 will be held in Rwanda despite his efforts to sabotage it. Besides, as he is not on the CHOGM2020 guest list, why does he link COVID19 and CHOGM2020? More so the RNC fugitive is nowhere on the panel of decision makers of CHOGM. Himbara should sober up and focus on how get the medication since he tested positive to COVID-19.

The most recent example is his lies in human rights activist circles that Rwanda has an online program to intimidate political opponents. Himbara is well known for his “auto verification technique”, he uses it so often that it becomes easy to spot. He regularly uses it with Human right watch, Financial Times and other organizations. Once, he even used a complaint he made to the Canadian Police that he was being threatened and used his police complaint report to claim that, “the Canadian Police is investigating Rwanda”.
One should also recall the $450,000 campaign fugitive Himbara ran in Washington to tarnish Rwanda in the US Congress. The astronomical cost made it clear that the fugitive was sponsored. In reality, he could not even afford a $1000 campaign. He was given money by the notorious fraudster Tribert Rujugiro and the Ugandan regime.
As he continues to fake his credentials posing as a human right activists, economist or even militarily analyst, he should note that his online terrorism is well recorded. He will not silence Rwandans from debunking him and refuting his Ugandan regime sponsored propaganda. He will find out that his Genocide denialism is also rebuked, and his affiliation with terrorist militias exposed.

Life has not been fair to us, yesterday I was taken to quarantine by force by health officials. They suspect I have COVID19, a virus that has spread everywhere here in Canada. Last week, I was joking about it saying that the Commonwealth meeting will be canceled in Kigali but now I have it.
I cannot believe that I now have two viruses living in my old body, it is so unfair. I know how I got my first virus in Nyamirambo; don’t worry, I forgive you for infecting me with it, at least we had fun. But this second virus, COVID19, is really not fair; they suspect I got it from a handshake with Rujugiro, my paymaster. I guess shaking hands with the devil comes with a price to pay.
COVID19 is going to finish RNC, if Rujugiro has it, he will infect Museveni, our Chief Terrorist Officer Kayumba Nyamwasa, and our entire Uganda Province team. It is really going to finish us especially since we like seating in fake meetings planning and discussing nothing.
With both viruses, my chances of survival are very low, all I want now is a huge joint of weed but they will not allow me to smoke in quarantine. I just hope COVID19 gets to Africa and Rwanda in particular. I don’t think it is fair for me to get this nasty virus alone.
